Looks like someone going by managed to rip the bumper and grille clean off. I’m not sure how else that could’ve happened. People are just lovely....
This is someone else on my street, luckily not my car

More reasons to buy a dashcam.

I’d be willing to bet money it was a trailer that’s wider than the truck pulling it. I’ve seen so many near misses with those things by inexperienced drivers.

argh for asshole people!
Also argh for how cheesily body panels are attached these days. The plastic knobs that secure a bumper on? Worthless!

There were probably some broken clips, but I think it might've been able to

I think you're probably right, we do like our inexperienced drivers around here

Better to break an easily replaced plastic clip than to have a more solid fastener bugger up the the bumper cover and the hole it sits in when it is ripped out in an incident like this.

Thank you for reconfirming my belief that people suck.

I suppose that’s true... but it takes away some of the fun stories about that time this guy crashed into the bumper of my old Buick and pushed the old tank 3 feet sideways while putting a tiny dent in my bumper and totalling the back of his car (true story bro!).
